Do You Want To Buy Solar Panels?

by Kristi Ambrose

Ah the Internet. The most terrific thing about the net is that you can find almost anything and for a really incredible price. Recently I started building my house and I decided that I really want to try to "go green" so to speak and get everything up to par as far as utilizing what is available out there for the home. The great thing about solar panels is not only are the great for the environment, but they also seemingly cost less than that of regular electricity because of the renewable power they use! Solar cells are generally silicon, the key component of sand.

There is no fumes and no poisonous materials to escape out of the system. The electrical energy coming through the inverter is just like the electricity coming from home wall sockets; you should use the same care you would with utility power. This technology has been around for the last 50 years. And While efficiency has certainly improved the way these panels work hasn't really changed. Some people seem to think that by using solar panels you will get less "light" but this just isn't true at all. In fact, if you shop at the right place, they will have all kinds of different options for you just like if you were to buy regular light bulbs! One website I visited had so many optional solar panel systems I was actually in shock that there was that many even available!

For example, a list of some of the waters they carry include 280Watts, 270, 260, 250, 240, 230, 220, 210, 200, 180, 175, 160, 150, 140, 120, 110, 100, 105, 80, etc. All the way down to 5 watt options! These solar panels are just for new homes like mine, however. There are usually two types of solar panels. The first kind is that of the tiles. These are solar panels, but come in a much more integrated form. Instead of panels that sit on top of your roof solar tiles are integrated into the roofing as actual tiles. Tiles are slightly less efficient than panels so you need more of them to produce power.

However, they do the job of roofing as well as energy production. This can make them a very cost effective option especially if your house needs re-roofing. The second option is an actual solar panel system. It's always best to best to have your panels facing south at the ideal tilt angle depending on your latitude and the time of year. (Magnetic south as indicated by a compass is actually 16 square west of true south). The ideal situation in Europe is to have a south-facing roof at an angle between 40 and 60 degrees, or, even better, a flat roof (or surface) on which your panels can be directed at will.

You may make up one's mind to deviate from these values for convenience or for cosmetic reasons, in order to fit them into the present architectural structure. In any case, depending on what type of panels you decide to use, you can almost be guaranteed that this will make an outstanding mark on your electricity bill. I know people that have used electricity and then they tried solar panels and when their bills used to be $150 for electricity it's now down to $80 a month. That is phenomenal! If you would like to buy solar panels online this is absolutely possible.

You simply have to look around and see what you can find. Some of these panels are developed and produced with such high quality and then you look at how much they cost and you will be absolutely astonished!
